Vernon Downs will host a Harness Horse Youth five-day overnight camp July 12-16 as part of the U.S. Trotting Association's Back to the Track program.
Youth between the ages of 12-14 are eligible for the camp for a fee of $150.
The cost includes overnight accommodations at the Vernon Downs Hotel, all meals and camp materials.
The event concludes July 16 with exhibitions featuring all participants.
Campers will work hands-on with the HHYF's stable of Trottingbred horses.
Among the topics covered are care and grooming, equipment, conformation, lameness, history, stable management and equine careers.
