"Lazy" horse breaks all time track record with 1:48.3 win


He's Gorgeous made history when he turned in the fastest mile in the 59-year history of Vernon Downs this past Saturday, winning the $9,500 Open Pace in 1:48.3. Afterwards, owner Ken Jacobs described his earner of more than $700,000 as lazy.

"If he gets to the front, they can't catch him, but if he doesn't make the front, he's lazy," said Jacobs.

Viewers will also meet leading Vernon Downs trainer Tracy Brainard in Settlemoir's Spotlight and the latest lesson from Harness Racing University explores the different types of wagers available at the racetrack.
